Cooking teacher, author, and chef Joanne Weir shares culinary techniques and tips with her students. From her kitchen, Weir instructs an aspiring chef on equipping a kitchen, preparing Mediterranean-inspired recipes, and selecting complementary wines with the help of a sommelier. During each hands-on cooking lesson, students discover unexpected solutions to real-life problems, including gummy risotto, grainy ice cream, broken emulsions, or overwhipped egg whites.
