Lidia's Italy: Serendipitous Celery
Lidia Bastianich grew up in Istria, a coastal region along the Adriatic Sea that was once part of Italy and is now in Croatia. This series celebrates the land that Lidia calls home as she journeys throughout Italy to sample and prepare local specialties. Back in her kitchen in the United States, Lidia demonstrates two or three recipes found during her travels. Throughout the series, friends and family join Lidia in the kitchen. Her daughter, Tanya, introduces some of Lidia's favorite hidden cultural treasures, while her son, Joseph, stops by to discuss regional wines.
